I went to CVS this morning to get my kids' prescriptions since they are sick. I noticed that Tide is only $5.88 -$1 coupon in today's newspaper which is a great price especially if you have some extra bucks to use up before they expire! As I was checking out, I noticed that the soy joy bars were free after extra bucks. The guy who works there told me it is a deal that starts next week, but since they got the poducts in early, they stocked the shelves ( this is the CVS on Lee blvd.) He also said there were going to be alot of good deals. "The Soy Joy bars are by far the best deal," he said.

This was advertised on Telemundo so it sounds like you might get a message in Spanish. They will text back asking for your age, then your state, then your mailing address and then your razor should arrive in just a few weeks!

If you have a Shoptext account they should already have your address otherwise you will need to provide that. (It is much easier if you register for an account first and Shoptext has great freebies all the time so you might as well. But I would hurry since this promotion will surely end soon!)

I try my best to post the deals on here as soon as possible. I was disappointed when my sister told me that she doesn't receive my emails until late at night when the deals are sometimes over. They also are free and always up-to-date. Many times I receive a couple emails from them a day. They post lots of deals which I don't do all of them, but they are both very thorough. CVS deals!

It is being reported that there are going to be several free after extra bucks deals at CVS on Black Friday! I know last year, there was a ton!

Here is another thing to be on the hunt for at CVS! A little coupon that looks like the image above that is good to DOUBLE your ECBs on one transaction from 11/1-12/15! Now I am sure this is tracked by card so you can only use it once but what a great deal!! You can use this on Black Friday to really clean up.

The ECBs are available to use in January and the coupon states:
“Just present this certificate once at the register between November 1 and December 15, 2009, and your double Extra Bucks will be added to each of your receipt totals. They’ll be available for you to redeem on your first visit in January.”

Also be on the lookout for a 99 cents tag that you can attach to your reusable shopping bag. If you scan it twice I think, you earn $1 EB. You are only allowed to scan it once per day, but if you are there anyway- every little bit adds up!

I know my Kleenex supply is pretty low with all the sickness going around so I am happy to report that Kleenex are free at Walgreens this week. Blockbuster Express!

There are Blockbuster Expresses now in Publix. It works similar to the Redbox where you pay $1 and rent the movie for a night. There are also many free codes. They have emailed me 3 in the last week.

I have read lots of blogs about ways to make money at home by taking surveys, etc.

I have tried several and found some really good ones that I wanted to pass on.

Swagbucks- earn swagbucks just for searching online and redeem them for gift cards, etc.
Inbox dollars- get paid $0.02 for each email you read- after you have reached $30 worth they will send you a check-I like this one because it does not take alot of time
Toluna Survey center- they email you surverys that match your profile- for each survey you get $2-$5 generally. When you have made $10, they send you a $10 check.
Expotv- they send you invites to review items for which you get points that you can redeem for gift cards
This is not going to bring in alot of money- but every little bit helps.

I joined the Expo. It is like taking surveys but so much better. For joining you get 35 points then they will email you assignments. When you upload your first video review (of things we are buying and using anyway) you get 2000 points. Other reviews are worth 500 points on average. I finally went to Walgreens yesterday! The Glade candle holders and refill packs are on sale for 2/$5- $1RR when you buy two. Walmart freebies!

I made my way to Walmart yesterday and got 2 free redbox movies. If you haven't used the codes yet, there are some codes that are ongoing
BREAKROOM and DVDONME.
I also bought the Air Wick Imotion starter kit that are on sale from $14 to $6. They didn't have any where the air fresheners normally are, but there is a display between the baby section and the shoes. I also asked a lady, and she found some in the back for me. If you still have the $6 off coupon, they will be free. You will only have to pay for taxes.
Also, the Glade Fragrance Collection 4.9 oz candles are on sale for $3.50 making them free after the $3.50 coupon I posted a few days ago. The manager gave me a hard time about the printable coupons but they should take them since the coupons are authentic. In a couple of weeks, it is being reported that CVS will have them for free after extra bucks making it a $3.50 moneymaker if you save them until then.

I bought the diapers and pullups at CVS today! They are $8.99, plus I have been able to use a $3 off Pure and Natural coupon plus a $2 pullup coupon which makes each pack of diapers $3.99. In addition to this, I made three different transactions each with a $5/$25 coupon. So I bought 3 packs of diapers, 6 packs of pull ups and it cost around $21, but I only spent $4 cash since I had some extra bucks. There is a limit of 3 packs. I bought four in one transaction, and still received the sale price of $8.99!
The Revlon nail polish is also at a great price- FREE if you have the $1 off coupon. There is also a limit of 6!

At Walgreens, the best deals I saw was the Purell which is out of stock at our Lehigh Walgreens, te Trident gum which is supposed to be free, and the Coffeemate Creamer which is $0.50 each after the $1 coupon at coffeemate.com! I also looked around for the items that are supposed to be free after register rewards the whole month and they are all sold out at the Lehigh Walgreens!

CVS and Walgreens shopping trip!

I went to CVS and Walgreens today to try to find some of the great advertised deals! What an adventure with 3 boys! Well, I survived and I still have my 3 boys plus got some good deals that I want to pass on.
The cashier at Walgreens said that we were only allowed one free deal per item. For example I could only get one Halls cough drops. I spoke with the manager and she let me do it. Underneath the deals, it says one offer so just a warning.
Also the cashier at the Walgreens in Lehigh said there was a problem with the Oral B 1-2-3 toothbrush. The RRs weren't printing so I didn't even try it. The Walgreens in Lehigh is also out of stock of the free chapstick. These deals run all month long so keep looking.

Walgreens- If you get Register Rewards on the Robitussin for example, you can't use it to buy another Robitussin because then your Register Reward won't print. But you can use it to buy the chapstick then use the chapstick Resgister Rewards to buy another Robitussin and so on. Remember also the tax. If your total is $6.99 and you have $6.50 in Register rewards it may not work because of tax so get a candy bar and then pay a little. Who couldn't use a candy bar after shopping?

Kmart double coupons!

Kmart has double coupons this week. I called the Kmart by Edison Mall and they are having it on all coupons not just the P and G ones. The lady also told me, it's up to $2 so the coupon matchups that are for the $2 coupons won't work. myfrugaladventures.blogspot.com has some great coupon matchups and I am sure that moneysavingmom and couponing101 will have some up soon.

I went to Walgreens today and found some great deals.

I bought 5 cans of Campbells soup for $0.39 each with the $1/2 manufacturer coupon and $0.89 each in store coupon!

Gift bags for $1 each

Two Children's Benadryl ( never know when you will need them)- used 2 $1 man. coupon plus get $5 RR.

Sensodyne Pronamel for kids- $3.49- use $1 manufacturer coupon plus $2 Walgreens Sept. booklet to get them for $0.49 each!

I also read that there is a deal on the Roots of Nature Shea Butter Green Tea Reconstructing Deep Treatment UPC 75285003626. It costs $1.74 and you are supposed to get $6 RR making it a moneymaker. I couldn't find it, though. so I don't know if it works or not.

Target trip!

I went to Target today and have heard that there are $1.50 coupons in the new Glade tins. I have looked but never found them until today! I am sure I looked like a goon opening all the tins, but hey it was for a deal. I was so excited to find 5 coupons! The tins are also on sale until Saturday for $1.66 a tin. To add to the deal we have a coupon for a free refill pack of scented oil if you buy a tin. So I bought 5 Glade tins ( great gift ideas), 2 scented oil refils, 1 Tide stain remover for $2.50!

Reminder: Last day for sale chicken at Sweetbay!`

Today is the last day for the 99 cents a pound chicken at Sweetbay! I bought 10 packages last night. I think that is 40 pounds and removed the bones and skin. I bought so many trying to plan ahead for the progressive dinner in October since it may be a while before the chicken goes on sale again!

Shopping trip!

There are some great deals at the grocery stores in our area! I also went to Walgreens and CVs yesterday. The Air wick air fresheners are sold out in Lehigh, but you can also get a rain check for them since they don't have register rewards. Then you have 30 days to get them. I bought the Tylenol cold products 2/$12 minus $4 in man. coupons and $2 off the Healthy Savings booklet minus $5 in register rewards. The box I bought has day and night tablets which is going to be a blessing now that cold season is here!

There is a free Colgate tooth brush at CVS. Look for it in the travel size section. The toothbrush costs $1 and you get $1 Extra bucks!

Sweetbay chicken sale!

I hope you all noticed that chicken breasts are $0.99 a pound at Sweetbay this week. They are the bone in breasts but Christine gave me a great idea which is to remove the bone and skin and wala a skinless, boneless, chicken breast which is $2.50 a pound even on sale!

CVS

I went to CVS today and got the Air Wick Freshmatic Compact Motion air freshener for $0.99. There are no limit on these and I have 5 coupons that are $4 off. I love air fresheners and with 3 boys and my husband, they are a need at my house. Remember if they are out of stock, you can get a rain check which never expires so you could even save it until you get some more coupons!

Walgreens

There are lots of great freebies and money makers at Walgreens this week. A few things I am going to get is
Triaminic Night UPC 300436344045 which is 2/$10. If you can find the Healthy Savings Booklet, you can use 2 $2 off coupons. If you get the right ones, you should get 2 $5 register rewards making it a $4 money maker.

I recommend the website afullcup.com which is a database for coupons. You can search for a coupon that you need and if there is a printable one available, you will find it there.

New to shopping at CVS?

If you are new to shopping at CVS, here are some helpful tips. It may sometimes seem like a headache, but it is really worth it. I get my toothpaste, razors, shampoo, air fresheners at CVS for 50 cents or sometimes free.
1. Make a list before you go. Buy a product that will give you extra bucks then buy another product with those extra bucks. Do multiple transactions so you are not stuck with $30 in extra bucks.
2. Extra bucks is credit at CVS that prints out on your receipt. You can use it to buy anything else at that store.
3. When using your extra bucks, remember that sometimes you'll have to pay for tax.
Ex. Shampoo 4.99- $4.99 extra bucks- may not work- get a pack of gum or ask them to price adjust the coupond for the total and then pay a few cents in tax.
4. Remember practice makes perfect. Don't give up if it doesn't work the first time.
